THE BAND

GARY GOODMAZE

PHIL WALKER

For over a decade Gary Goodmaze has been performing a Tribute show to one of rocks greatest legends, the one and only Freddie Mercury.

The show has won rave reviews across the world and has made Gary one of the most sought after tribute acts in Europe.

Gary Goodmaze as Freddie Mercury is one of the best acts you are likely to see and is a truly stunning and exhilarating experience.

Playing to the audience is second nature as Gary "becomes" Freddie from the moment he steps onto the stage. The audience love him and he plays the part to perfection. Moving around the stage with incredible agility,

I first picked up a guitar when I was six years old. My first ever gig was at the age of eleven in a social club near my home town of Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire where I grew up.

I have been a professional musician/entertainer & sound engineer for over two decades. Over the years I have been fortunate enough to play all around the world in some incredible venues & countries.

“I bought my first bass on the way home from school on Thursday 11th October 1979 from the fantastic, but long gone, ‘Mel’s’ (Music equipment Limited) in Camberwell, London.

It was owned by Rick Huxley (R.I.P), the bass player from the Dave Clark Five!

£52 for a rather strange looking ‘KAY’ Rickenbacker copy, no case, but Rick gave me a new set of Rotosound Swing Bass strings...'Smoke On The Water' then"

.

I started playing the drums from an early age and love all kinds of music.I was into loads of bands but loved the rock bands.I have been fortunate to play with some very famous bands and also played alot of session work.

Playing with the Mercurys has been a great gig and still love playing every show.

It's a great gig for a drummer.

I have been a classically trained pianist since the age of 9. Began playing piano for various choirs and operatic society’s around the South Wales valleys before becoming a professional keyboard player in 1991 and working with many different function bands on holiday camps and in hotels. Have completed many uk tours with theatre shows, as well as being part of several duos, trios and tribute acts. Have been the musical director for various bands and touring shows. I am currently ‘freelance’, and work with a duo, a trio, a John Denver tribute, a Neil Diamond tribute,

and my favourite band Freddie and the Mercury’s a tribute to Queen.
